Agriculture is one of Eastern Washington's top industries. Art Swannack will share with us the challenges and changes in Eastern Washington agriculture. Art Swannack is a dryland farmer and Whitman County Commissioner.  He and his wife, Dr. Jill Swannack, DVM, are farmers in northwest Whitman and southwest Spokane county raising wheat, barley, alfalfa, and 800 head of sheep. They also raise walking horses, mules, donkeys, and many other animals you'd expect a farmer and veterinarian doctor to own.  Art will discuss some of the challenges dryland agriculture has been facing as well as some new technology being brought to the Palouse hills.
