Note from
President Weir

F” is for fiduciary responsibility
As you all know, my desire is to have an “F” kind of Rotary year. As mentioned at last Thursday’s meeting, the “F” word for this week is “Fiduciary.” As a Certified Financial Planner, I have a “fiduciary” responsibility to always do what’s in my client’s best interest and to be a “good steward” of their investment money.
That same “fiduciary” responsibility also applies to our Club #21 Board of Directors. We as a board have a “fiduciary” responsibility to be “good stewards” of your club money.  One way you can help us be good stewards of your money is to let us know if you’ll be eating lunch on Thursday.
In the past, we’ve been able to make some very good estimates on letting the Spokane Club know how many lunches to prepare for that coming week's meeting. However, since coming back as a “hybrid” club, our best guess about how many lunches to order has become more challenging.
If we order more lunches than people eating, we’ve wasted both food and money.  If we order too few lunches, we run the risk of running out of food and upsetting Rotarians that came to our meeting expecting to eat a meal.

So we’re asking you to help us be good “fiduciary” stewards of your club money by letter us know if you plan on eating a Thursday meal at the Spokane Club. To do this you'll notice a 'click here' link below the menu each week. Please take a moment to click the link and confirm you are planning to purchase lunch each Monday. Don't forget to notify the office if you have a guest attending so we can include their meals in our estimate. We greatly appreciate your help in giving the most accurate lunch count possible.
As a precaution, with the new information about the Delta variant, I also want to encourage the members that attend in-person to help us be good stewards of health and, if able, please consider wearing your masks when not eating or drinking.
Thank you for being the Power of One that helps us as a board to be good “Fiduciary” stewards of your club money!
