From Vice President Mobley
Rotary Community Services
Someone asked me recently, what is your Rotary story?
I became a Rotarian as soon as I could after my year-long Youth Exchange. I was a student in Australia and through this experience, I met students around the world. I maintained friendships with students and with my host families and used this as a way to meet people travel the world individually and later through Rotary Friendship Exchange and as a volunteer for various Rotary service projects.
For most of us, we start with Rotary because we seek a way to make connections – personally and for business – and to find meaningful ways to serve and learn in our community.
Some highlights of my Rotary story are visiting clubs in Ecuador, Peru, Netherlands, and Kenya; helping with water projects in Ecuador and Kenya; hosting exchange students at my home; and helping with local efforts to serve the disadvantaged, young, elderly, and emigrant.
Asking you to give to Rotary Community Service is an easy ask because we do so many good things from Rotary Youth Exchange to supporting scholarships in Spokane and abroad, helping people with vaccinations, adoption, disability equipment support, food, and transportation. We give to support the community. This is your Rotary story.
