Dr. William Foege passed away on January 24, 2026. After graduating from Pacific Lutheran University, he attended medical school at the University of Washington and earned his MD. Dr. Foege was renowned for leading the smallpox eradication campaign and was pivotal in recruiting Rotary International into the global effort to eradicate polio. He recognized the immense potential of Rotary's volunteer network and fundraising capabilities, urging them to partner in what became one of the largest public-health initiatives in history.
Celebration of Life - Diane Joss
There will be two Celebration of Life gatherings in honor of Diane Joss, the wife of longtime Club 21 member, Dr. Peter Joss.
