What’s your most memorable/meaningful Rotary experience?
Elaine: We had a new member orientation at our home last October, and Tim had always said, “I think you would love Rotary.” I was never quite sure. And then after that meeting, I just announced I’m going to join. It was so cool seeing all the people.
Manny: Gosh, I’ve got to think. There’s so many. That’s not an easy question. To go back to day one, I think it’s when Scott Millsap called me into his office at Automated Accounts and sat me down and said, “Look, we’re going to put you through the ringer and put you forward because we’re going to utilize you to kind of shatter the Rotary age glass ceiling.” They said, “We’re going to put you forward and try to – you know that unwritten law that you have to be 40 and up – it’s an old men and their sons’ club.” It was him and Mike Church that really kind of shaped me, so that was very profound to get that sort of in-depth, hey, here’s what we’re doing,g and we’re going to utilize you in that capacity. But there’s, I mean, I could write a book about Rotary. So many memories over the last 12-13 years.
