In our continuing effort to keep you updated on what’s going on with our Committees, this week we’re highlighting the Member Engagement Committee. So I’ll now turn over the column to Member Engagement Committee Chair…Gary Stokes:
Thanks, Gary – So far this Rotary Year, we’ve done two Zoom events, both with great attendance and participation…
The Rotary 21 Virtual Game Night in October was a great time…featuring trivia – both Rotary and non-Rotary categories…
Then the Holiday Party (aka Zoom-mas) – complete with Ugly Sweater Contests, Best Drink Competition, and other Reindeer Games (including more trivia for prizes and more…)
But since we’re all pretty tired of seeing each other in those tiny rectangles, we’re going to try a socially distant OUTDOOR Activity! On March 13th we’re going to Mount Spokane for a day of snow-shoeing (or just snow-hiking. SNOWTARY 21 will start at 9 am. Here’s Matt Sonderen with the details:
We will meet at the Snowmobile parking lot at Mount Spokane at 9AM. We will hike up the trail that leads to a picnic shelter where you will be greeted by a warm fire and possibly some warm refreshments. This should be a fun outdoor COVID safe event for members and families. Sno – Park permits are $20 and can be
purchased online. Contact
Matt Sonderen or the Rotary Office for more info.
But wait…There’s more!
In just a few weeks, the new Rotary 21 Member Directories will be ready (The new Directories are here, The new Directories are here!!)
Normally, we’d just make them available for you to take home at the next meeting, but since we can’t hand them out via Zoom, you have your choice of options:
- You can opt for a PDF version CLICK HERE to email the Rotary office for one.
- We can mail them to you or
- Come by and pick one up at one of several locations.
There will be at least three places for pick-up – Downtown (Davenport Tower Parking/Valet area) Valley (Photon Biosciences, LLC), and the South Hill (KSPS.) And if you want to make the trip doubly worthwhile, we’ll also be collecting food for Second Harvest. Times and dates for the Directory event to be announced. Thanks to Jenna for her work on the directories, and the drive-through pickup/food donation idea.
Back to you President Gary…
Thank you for that report Gary, and we look forward to seeing you all at one or both of these activities.
“See” you on Thursday…
