Benefactor Recognition

Congratulations and thank you to Lee Pennell for becoming Club 21's first Rotary Benefactor in 20 years! Benefactor recognition occurs when someone donates $1,000 or more to The Rotary Foundation Endowment Fund or names the Endowment Fund as the beneficiary of the same amount in their estate plan. Unlike the Annual Fund, which uses gifts for immediate needs, the Endowment Fund keeps the principal intact, using only the investment earnings to fund programs in perpetuity. By making an outright gift to The Rotary Foundation Endowment, Lee continues his legacy as a Rotarian committed to making the world a better place. Lee’s gifts to our Club go well beyond his financial support. For nearly three decades, he has forged strong friendships, built mutually beneficial business relationships, and mentored younger leaders in our Club. You are a true inspiration, Lee. Thank you for being a valued member of our Club.

Promote Your Business in the Club 21 Membership Directory!

Our new Membership Directory is coming soon — a great way to keep your business top-of-mind among fellow Rotarians all year long. Ad spaces range from $250 to $1,500, with several sizes and premium placements available. As a thank-you, directory sponsors will also be recognized on the club’s website, with their logo featured in our sponsor section.

10/30/25 Rotary Off the Cuff: Maggie Crawford & Brice Anderson

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Maggie: I’m an early bird.

Brice: Also up before sunrise.

Name a local place everyone should visit at least once.

Brice: Nadine’s kitchen in Rathdrum

Maggie: Indian painted rocks

What is a skill you wish you had?

Maggie: The ability to write like people like Karen Mobley.

Brice: I wish I could paint something as it looks in my mind.

What’s the best costume you ever had (or seen) on Halloween?

Brice: Years ago, I dressed up as a surfing gorilla.

Maggie: My mother had a whole trunk full of dresses from the 1800s and I wore one of those one year. It was fun!

How many years have you been a Club 21 member and what’s your Rotary Why?

Maggie: About 35 years, I think, and why, because we can make such big changes around the world.

Brice: A little over a year, and all the great people that I’ve met here so far. I love helping the community as well.

Art Social

Karen Mobley will host a morning in her studio at her home on the South Hill on Saturday, November 15, from 10 to noon. 3515 S Lee Street. Easy art projects will be set up in stations around the studio for hands-on activities for kids of all ages. That means you!  Come decorate a treasure box, make a holiday ornament or make a collage, or make a painting.  All materials will be provided.  Bring your child, your grandkid, or just bring yourself. It is free and just for fun.  Karen would like to know if you plan to attend, so she can set up enough chairs.
(P.S. There are cats)
