This coming Sunday, February 23rd, Rotary turns 115 years old. I love the fact that our Club is the 21st Club, founded in 1911. Read the story and history of our Club by visiting our website, www.rotaryspokane.com.
“I Love Rotary” month is perfect for our birthday celebration this week. Share this rich history of Rotary and our Club 21 with guests, friends and prospective members. We are reminded of the deep and abiding foundation we have that carries the tradition of being a people of action and making a difference in our community and the world. We were relevant then and we are relevant now!
Invite a guest to a meeting this month. Share with your family and friends about the work we do and be ambassadors of Rotary and Club 21.
Cheers,
Paul S. Viren
Spokane Rotary Club 21, President
Quote of the Week
“If you have the chance to make people happy, just do it! Sometimes people are struggling silently. Maybe, your act of kindness can make their day!”

Paul Harris Fellow
Last Thursday Club 21 celebrate Greg Larratt on his 7th Paul Harris Fellow.
When asked why he gives to Rotary International Greg said: "because he can and he should." Greg was raised to understand that he was given more than his fair share of blessings and it was his responsibility to give back. Greg’s father was a Rotarian in Honolulu and he always said he had wished he would have known about Rotary earlier in his life.
Congratulations Greg on becoming a 7-time
Paul Harris Fellow!
