Did you know?

Our contract with the Spokane Club requires that we purchase a minimum of 40 lunches every week. Thanks to everyone who helped us meet the lunch minimum last week. Let's keep it up! The $24.50 lunch price includes tip & tax plus the benefits of meeting at the Spokane Club. Please remember to RSVP each week and purchase a lunch to help us stay at the Spokane Club.

Growing Our Membership

We’re off to a great start with 11 new members since the beginning of the new Rotary Year. We have 11 more to go to reach our goal of 174 Active members (excluding Honorary members) this Rotary Year.

Thank you to our Membership Development Committee and the 8 Club members (Jim Armstrong, Adam Brigham-Althoff, Rick Eichstaedt, Teddi Gibbon, Julie Kelsey, Tim Sweet, Cindy Tripp, Dave Troyke) who have sponsored a new member this Rotary Year. It’s incumbent upon all of us to invite people to Rotary. Our strength is only as good as our membership. Without our most valuable asset, our members, there is no Rotary.

Think of your acquaintances, colleagues, friends, family members, as well as community leaders who might be a good fit for Rotary. You don’t have to know if they’re ready to join Rotary. Simply invite them to join you at a Rotary meeting.

Who will you invite today? I can’t wait to meet them!

1/15/26 Rotary Off the Cuff: Cassie Frederiksen & Dan Cadagan

Early to arrive or fashionably late?
Cassie: I strive to arrive early and always end up fashionably late.
Dan: I don’t know, what do you call 7 o’clock in the morning?
(That sounds like arrive early.)

What’s your favorite time of the day?
Dan: Dinner time. (Is there something you look forward to when you have dinner?)
Yeah, my Scotch.
Cassie: I also echo dinner time, but it’s because I get to connect with my kiddos and hear about their days.

What’s a hobby you’d love to try but haven’t yet?
Cassie: Probably crocheting. My grandma was a big crocheter, and I have not done it.
Dan: Well, maybe take a motorcycle trip around the country.

What’s something people are surprised to learn about you?
Dan: That I have any brains at all. (Oh, come on now!)
Cassie: At one time in my life, I had a pet llama.

How long have you been a Rotarian, and what makes Club 21 special?
Cassie: I joined in 201,9 and I think it’s the people that make it special.
Dan: 37 years. Oh, it’s just too much fun. Yeah, lots of fun here. And the great things we do, like the Rotary Fountain.
