WORLD POLIO DAY

OCTOBER 24, 2025

World Polio Day is a time for Rotary members, public health advocates, and the world to recognize our progress in the fight to end polio. The eradication of polio is one of Rotary's longest-standing and most significant humanitarian efforts. When Rotary International formed PolioPlus in 1985 to end polio, polio paralyzed 1,000+ children every single day in 125 polio-endemic countries.

Since 1988, we have reduced polio cases by 99.9% worldwide, and we won’t stop until we end the disease for good. Today, only 2 countries – Afghanistan & Pakistan – have wild cases of polio. Polio anywhere is a risk everywhere. Together, We End Polio.

Foster KidFest

Stargazing Party

Thank you to our resident astronomers, Joe Bruce & Mark Barnes, for treating 7 foster families with 31 children to a night of gazing at the stars and planets. It was a fun night of learning for the children and adults alike. Big thanks to the Foster KidFest Committee co-chairs, Beverly Amstadter and Borre Ulrichsen, and the rest of the committee, who made it an evening to remember.
