This Weeks Rotary Story

Each week we will highlight a Rotary member and tell their story, so you can connect their face to their name and make a connection with them!
This week’s Rotary story is about a retired social worker with 4 children and 6 grandchildren. She says huckleberry picking is her jam!  She enjoys needlework, quilting, gardening, and reading.

The Eagles make her dance and novels on social justice keep her passionate. Lately, she has been reading The Handmaid's Tale.

She says the best use of her time, talent, and treasure was spent on her children. Terrific return on her investment! She has always been a good steward and not much of a consumer. Case in point: she still wears 20-plus years old clothes as she hates shopping!

She has spent her life serving others in many capacities: injured workers, troubled teens, abused and neglected children, sick and dying children and finally grieving families. The common thread was changing and enriching their lives.

Her father was a Rotarian and encouraged her to join. Now that she is retired, she has an outlet for her passion for serving others. This year, she is doing so as a Co-Chair of our Disability Services committee.
