Notes from
President Paul

Greetings My Rotary Family!

Being a member of Rotary Spokane Club 21 is truly a special experience.  I have spoken with many of you over the years about this relationship we have together as a Rotary Family.  It is not just about our weekly lunch and program.  There are deep friendships and comradery amongst us.  We support each other during times of celebration and sorrow.

We also hold as a principle that being a member is an honor and recognition for the type of person it takes to be a Rotarian.   While we are all unique and have special talents and gifts that we bring to our Club, at the core is that we have the heart of a Rotarian.  To define this is difficult.  But you can see it through the action we each take as Rotarians.

During the month of February is the Love Your Rotary Club Membership Drive.  This Thursday, February 6th we will kick off the campaign.  Please bring a guest and prospective member to our meeting.  We will host your guest with a free lunch and there will special drawings for all those that brig a guest this week.

Please RSVP to Jenna, at the Rotary office, the name of your guest so we can be welcome them with a name tag.

Let’s make this campaign a truly amazing experience, to grow our membership in the Rotary Club 21 family!

PS – Rotary By-Laws - This Thursday, February 6th Mike Church and I will present the draft changes to the Rotary Club 21 By-Laws.  We will send a separate e-mail to all members with the proposed changes.  On February 20th, we will have a town hall meeting after our regular Club meeting for those with questions or requests for clarification on the changes being recommended.  The final vote to amend the By-Laws will be on March 19th.
