Club 21’s Award for Rotarian of the Year. It represents the long-time commitment and support of our Club and Rotary at large. It’s given to a member of our club who best epitomizes Service Above Self and whose life personifies the Four Way Test.
Rotary Club 21 is excited to announce Amy Higgins as the 2024 – 2025 Fred K. Jones Award recipient.
This is Club 21’s Award for Rotarian of the Year.

Amy has been an engaged member of Rotary Club 21 for over two decades. She is a servant leader whose steady presence has been a force for good in our Club and our community.

Amy is consistently willing to lend a hand or donate her time to step in where needed. As someone who currently serves on ten Club 21 committees, Amy is an authentic leader who brings a strong sense of empathy and a level-headed perspective to the table. She always has the best interests of our Club in mind when making decisions or recommendations. She genuinely cares about people, and it shows in everything she does.

Amy provides a calm, steady voice whenever you need one, whether it’s coming out of a global pandemic, in the middle of challenging group discussions, or during the recent Rotary Office transition. Amy is ready and willing to actively listen and hear all voices in the room.

As part of the infamous Rotaract Club of the 90’s, Amy’s organizational skills and penchant for having fun stood out. Time and again, she rose to the occasion and delivered on the promise of Service Above Self. Her accolades are too many to mention one-by-one.

Fast forward to the present, Amy won the recent Club 21 Best Joke competition and brought a sense of fun and connection to the podium by declaring our weekly meetings as “Game Day” and highlighting fellow members through her “Say Hello” features. To top it all off, she’s been instrumental in awarding tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to performing arts students in honor of her sister, Katie Reeves.

Amy served as Club President from 2022 – 2023. A 2-time Paul Harris Fellow, she is currently Chair of the Paul Harris Fellow Committee and serves on the following committees: Budget, Program, Greeters, Classification, Development Coordinating, Human Resources, President’s Advisory, Spokane Rotary Foundation, and Vocational Services.

Congratulations, Amy! Thank you for sharing your bright light and wealth of knowledge to help make our Club and our community a better place!
