As we quickly approach the end of the Rotary year, I will focus most of these next few weeks on volunteerism and finding your passion for service within Rotary Club 21.
Not all Rotary Club 21 members “volunteer” time outside of the Thursday meetings. In fact, the Thursday noon meeting is a social time and a time to learn and connect with each other.
Volunteering for Rotary is a powerful dimension of “Service Above Self” that can transform lives....your life and others you serve.
I can think of so many inspiring stories of Rotary members who have served in so many ways, from leading us in song each week, leading and serving on our many committees to traveling to far off countries for a service project. Every hour of volunteer time is precious. The goal is to make these hours mutually beneficial! The giver of time is oftentimes more impacted than the recipient.
During these next few weeks, I will be encouraging you to sign up to serve on a committee, the Special Response Strike Force, or other tasks to make certain you have every opportunity to serve as a hands-on volunteer!
Many thanks to all of you who have given of your time and talents.
You inspire me more than you will ever know and I am humbled to serve as your president of Rotary Club 21.
Please see the special volunteer request from Joe Bruce who leads the Youth Services Committee. This opportunity will inspire you in amazing ways!
Let’s continue to make an impact on the Community we love!
Stay healthy and safe!
