The Rotary Minute is a quick one-minute story that features the work and impact of Rotary in our community and world!

Rotary Minute – Rotary is again marching in the Lilac Parade!

January 2021 is Vocational Service Month | District 7070
What’s almost as much fun as the NCAA Tournament, burns calories, and helps promote Rotary to our community?  It’s the Lilac Parade!
I am excited to announce that for the second year in a row Rotary has signed up to walk in the 85th Annual Armed Forces Torchlight Parade.

The Parade is on Saturday evening, May 20th.  You’ll burn calories walking because the parade route is over 20 blocks long.
Pre-Parade Fun will start with a social and dinner. Ira Amstadter will be hosting Rotary again at his business, Express Employment Professionals located at 331 W Main Ave and we will once again be providing pizza. Bring your own beverage and come enjoy dinner with the group before we head to the parade!

Parade line-up is usually around 7:00 p.m. so we will leave Express Employment at 6:50 PM and walk up Washington Street toward the parade line-up area.

The parade is a family event, so we’d encourage you to bring your family with you. But all parade participants must be age 14 years of age or older.

Raise your hand if you marched last year. If you want to know how much fun it is to march in a parade, be sure to ask one of the people who raised their hands. We had a great turnout last year, but I’d love to see even more of you this year!

Please email Jenna to let her know if you and your family will join us for a fun Rotary activity on the evening of May 20th so we know how much pizza to order.  And remember, this is a fun event and a great way to represent Rotary and show the difference we are making in our community and world!

And that is today’s Rotary Minute!
