Note from
President Weir

“F” is for free time

There is an old saying, “You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give.”  One of the greatest gifts you can give is the gift of your “free time” to help others.  As a Rotarian, I’m proud to see the great work we do as a club to help others during our “free time.”  I’m especially proud of those that volunteer to spend their “free time” in service to our club.  Below is the list of club members who have volunteered to spend their “free time” this next Rotary year in service as members of the board and executive committee.

Presdient: Amy Higgins
President-Elect: Rod Price
Vice President: Stefanie Page
Board of Directors: Scott Bleeker
Board of Directors: Adam Brigham-Althoff
Board of Directors: Louise Joss

Another way to spend your “free time” is in the pursuit of hobbies. This Thursday we get to hear from Jerry Tate, the owner of Tate’s Honey Farm, about how he turned his hobby of beekeeping into a business and about his passion to help others learn about bees. I know beekeeping is not a hobby most of us pursue, but since we all enjoy honey, I think learning about bees and beekeeping will make for an amazing program!
So remember, “F” is for “free time” and how you spend your “free time”, says a lot about you.

And thank you for giving us part of your “free time” being a Rotarian and helping make our community and world a better place for us all!

                        Sincerely!
