February 29, 2024: What does it take for our neighborhoods to thrive?

Northwest Winterfest - Celebration of the Holidays

The ZONE is a resident-led initiative in Northeast Spokane founded by the City of Spokane and Spokane Public Schools in 2015 and modeled after the Harlem Children’s Zone. Since 2018 The ZONE has been a grant funded initiative of the Northeast Community Center. With embedded partner staff in 11 northeast schools and an active Resident Steering Committee, the priorities from our neighborhoods frame our programming and advocacy. Come hear the three strategic goals set by residents for 2024, and our challenges and co-design of solutions so all children, youth, and families in The ZONE can thrive
